SMU is located about five miles north of downtown Dallas in University Park, bordered by North Central Expressway on the east, Hillcrest Avenue on the west, Mockingbird Lane on the south, and Daniel Avenue on the north.

Airport Directions

From Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
Take the North Exit from the airport to I-635 (LBJ Freeway). Go east on I-635 to US-75S (Central Expressway). Go south on U.S. 75 and exit Lovers Lane/SMU Blvd., continue south on the access road through the lights at Lovers Lane and at University to SMU Blvd. and turn right (west) onto SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. There is a visitor's parking lot located at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard..

From Love Field Airport
Exit left (east) from the airport to Mockingbird Lane. Go east on Mockingbird. Cross Lemmon Avenue, Inwood Road, North Dallas Tollway, Preston Road, Hillcrest Avenue, and Airline Road. Turn left (north) onto the access road to U.S. 75 (Central Expressway). Turn left (west) on SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. There is a visitor's parking lot located at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard..

Driving Directions

Southbound on Dallas North Tollway
Exit Mockingbird Lane, turn left on Mockingbird Lane and proceed east past Hillcrest Avenue to Airline Road. Turn left and follow Airline to SMU Blvd. Turn left on SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. There is a visitor's parking lot at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard.

Northbound on Dallas North Tollway
Exit Mockingbird Lane, turn right on Mockingbird Lane, and proceed east past Hillcrest Avenue to Airline Road. Turn left and follow Airline to SMU Blvd. Turn left on SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. Turn left on Airline. There is a visitor's parking lot at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard.

Northbound on I-35
Take I-35E north to I-30. Go east on I-30 to U.S. 75N (Central Expressway). Go north on Central Expressway to the Mockingbird Lane exit. Continue through the light at 75 and Mockingbird, and turn left (west) onto SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. There is a visitor's parking lot at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard.

Southbound on I-35

Continue through the light at 75 and Mockingbird, and turn left (west) onto SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. There is a visitor's parking lot at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard.

Eastbound on I-30
Take I-30E east to U.S. 75N (Central Expressway). Stay in the left lane and follow the signs to Sherman-U.S. 75N. Exit at Mockingbird Lane. Continue through the light at U.S. 75 and Mockingbird, and turn left (west) onto SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. There is a visitor's parking lot at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard.

Westbound on I-30
Take I-30 west to U.S. 75N (Central Expressway). Go north on Sherman-U.S. 75. Exit at Mockingbird Lane. Continue through the light at 75 and Mockingbird, and turn left (west) onto SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. There is a visitor's parking lot at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard.

Eastbound on I-20
Take I-20 east to I-35. Take I-35 north. Stay in the right lanes. Follow the signs to Sherman-U.S. 75N (Central Expressway). Exit at Mockingbird Lane. Continue through the light at 75 and Mockingbird, and turn left (west) onto SMU Blvd. to enter the campus. There is a visitor's parking lot at the intersection of Airline Road and SMU Boulevard.

Westbound on I-20
Take I-20 west to U.S. 80 west in Terrell, Texas. U.S. 80 merges with I-30. Stay in the right lanes on I-30 west and follow the signs to Sherman-U.S. 75N (Central Expressway). Exit at Mockingbird Lane. Continue through the light at 75 and Mockingbird, and turn left (west) onto SMU Blvd. to enter the campus.
