Career and Major Exploration
Helpful resources for exploring majors, careers and the world of work can be found on this page as well as throughout our website. We recommend you begin your exploration with reviewing these sites:

You may also learn about careers from our books located in the Career Center Resource Library, and by visiting SMU's e-books online.
Conducting Informational Interviews and participating in an Internship (or two) are also excellent opportunities to research careers and if the fields would be a good fit for you. Talking to professors is also recommended.
Get involved in student organizations or volunteer through the SMU Community Involvement Office to stretch your skills and gain experience.
