The mission of the career counseling team of the Hegi Family Career Development Center is to assist students and alumni in clarifying their career interests and goals by: guiding them through the exploration process of interests, skills, and personal values to lead to informed decisions about majors and careers; educating them about the world of work and career opportunities; and empowering them to develop competent decision making skills for life long career management.

Career counselors administer the most appropriate assessments and meet with students individually for interpretation of the results. Typical assessments available for students to take advantage of are the Strong Interest Inventory, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and MyPlan.
To access the assessments, students must first meet with a counselor and receive a password. For any questions, you can meet with a counselor by scheduling an appointment.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: Find out your personality type and how it relates to occupational compatibility. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
