Elke received a Master of Education degree in Counseling & Psychological Services from Springfield College, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from La Sierra University, California.
Originally from Canada, Elke worked for the Canadian Olympic Association, assisting national team athletes with their transition from sport to the work world. She was also a senior consultant with KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick Stevenson & Kellogg) and coached clients on recareering.
Elke serves on SMU’s President’s Commission on the Status of Women, the Student Affairs Professional Development Committee, and AARO (Advising/Registration Orientation) Planning Committee. She is currently President-Elect of MAC3 (Metroplex Area Consortium of Career Centers). She is also a member of the American Counseling Association, National Career Development Association, American College Counseling Association, and National Association of Colleges & Employers.
