The best way to prepare for an
interview is to practice! Here is how we can
help:
1) Review the
Career
Center's Interviewing Skills Guidebook for tips on
how to prepare and for a list of questions most
frequently asked as well as questions that are
appropriate for you to ask during an interview.
2) Schedule a video-taped Mock Interview with a career
counselor to practice a "live
interview". Be prepared to schedule an hour
appointment, dress professionally, bring your resume
and a VHS tape. The interview will last
approximately 20 minutes, then the counselor will
review your performance with you. Remember, mock
interviewing is for practicing and you will be
critiqued, therefore, make your appointment at least 1
week prior to a "real interview" so you have
time to make improvements if needed.
