Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-day production support of various internal applications
Experience with development support; Able to follow development standards
and procedures; ensure
compliance with standards, procedures, and policies defined by e-Rewards
development team
Should be a self-starter with intermediate to advance technical skills
Will work with application architect and development team to coordinate
strategic issue resolution,
design, defect resolution, tactical enhancements, documentation, and release
management.
Should be capable of assisting in development of unit test plans,
integration test plans, and execution of tests
Develop strong partnership with development, QA, production control, & other
technology teams
Design and code Java applications; experience should include PL/SQL
Review application and technical deliverables throughout development to
ensure completeness, consistency, quality and requirement traceability;
Ensure that development standards are followed, including code reviews and
unit testing
Provide application support for the business and technology by being on call
24x7 every 6-8 weeks.
Required:
3-5 years of recent work experience as programmer using JAVA 00 design and
development
Proficient to expert SQL, PL/SQL and JDBC skills.
Proficient in JSP and Java Standard Tag Libraries (JSTL)
Proficient using frameworks such as SPRING
Understanding of Object Oriented principals and concepts
Preferred:
Web Service Programming
Solid understanding of SOA Methodology
UI Design and Development Experience
Non-technical skills required:
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skill
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate solutions
Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
A deliberate work ethic and the discipline to prioritize and manage multiple
tasks
