Job Duties

Play a role as an intern in PwC's core tax practice, as they provide services to clients.

Participate in select phases of tax compliance engagements.

PricewaterhouseCoopers' Core Assurance group organizes around industries to share the latest research and points of view on emerging industry trends, develop industry-specific performance benchmarks based upon global best practices, and share methodologies and approaches in complex areas such as financial instruments and tax provisioning. In addition, our network is available to collaborate on accounting or technical issues unique to a particular industry, especially when interpretive guidance is needed.

Members of our core assurance group provide independent assurance to clients on the financial performance of their businesses and the internal controls that govern their financial information. Our audit teams ask the tough questions and tackle the tough issues to produce financial statements that investors and the investing community can trust. Services provided include our core financial statement and internal control audits; plan audits; business and performance reporting; and social, environmental and other compliance reviews.
 

Job Duties
Play a role as an intern in PwC's core audit services provided to clients.

Participate in select phases of a financial statement audit.

Participate in select projects; demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative.

Dallas Internal Audit Intern Winter/Spring 2012
The PricewaterhouseCoopers Internal Audit Services function requires an understanding of an organization's objectives, risks, risk management priorities, regulatory environment, and the diverse needs of critical stakeholders. Critical stakeholders may include a client's executive management, board of directors, employees, and shareholders. Ultimately, these needs determine the risk profile of the organization and the strategic focus, organization, resources and practices required of its internal audit department.


Our Internal Audit Services (IAS) team provides a broad range of services to our non-audit clients. Our IAS staff will be part of our overall Risk Assurance practice and team closely with our Systems and Process Assurance staff. We can assist organizations that require help improving the quality and effectiveness of their internal audit processes in a number of ways. First, we can advise and assist in the development of internal audit and risk management methodologies, including assessing whether the internal audit function is delivering effectively to stakeholders. Second, we can provide internal audit resourcing solutions, including full outsourcing or complementing in-house functions with specialist skills or geographical coverage. Third, we can support internal audit functions with software to enhance and support their work. In addition, we can develop training for internal auditors using our extensive market and industry knowledge to create highly-tailored solutions.

IAS professionals will also have the opportunity to develop and apply audit skills, working with our core attest practice. This allows our IAS staff to have a well rounded understanding of the assurance practice and provides the opportunity to have an even greater impact on our clients and on staff development.
Qualifications: Job Duties

Participate in select phases of an internal audit.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: assisting with the development of risk assessments and audit plans; assisting in the execution of internal audit fieldwork or Sarbanes-Oxley.

Dallas Advisory PSI Security Tech Associate Summer 2011
The Technology Team is a group of practitioners who possess skills and knowledge related to five main capabilities and are capable of delivering technology focused consulting and solutions across the enterprise.
1. Design & Implementation - This team is comprised of professionals with knowledge and experience in implementing medium and large scale custom system solutions; including: enterprise architecture, infrastructure operations, software development, data warehousing and other implementation related capabilities.
2. Forensics & Analysis - These professionals have knowledge and experience solving client problems by focusing on extracting and analyzing large volumes of structured and unstructured data. This capability analyzes data for forensic (including e-discovery), assurance-related and performance improvement related purposes.
3. Security - The security team has the knowledge and experience to help companies define, align, develop and implement security and controls solutions that mitigate risk by controlling logical access, applications and infrastructure for logical and physical environments. Security capabilities include: identity management, threat & vulnerability management, and security strategy.
4. IT Strategy & Operations - This team has the knowledge and experience working to improve the effectiveness of IT organizations, including: aligning IT with the business, demand management, asset management, portfolio management, as well as aspects of driving value in the CIO organization.
5. Business Applications - These professionals have primarily deep technical knowledge and skills with respect to business applications combined with functional skills to provide solutions to client issues related to systems and performance improvement (e.g., SAP, Siebel, Oracle, Hyperion, MRP, etc. combined with supply chain, etc.).
 

Job Duties
Play an integral role as a professional in PwC's technology consulting and solutions provided to clients.
Participate in all phases of analyzing large and complex data sets, safeguarding Information Assets, conducting penetration testing of client networks, providing ERP (Oracle, SAP) services and building web-based and database applications.
