The Lowdown – Real Experience
The jcpenney Planning and Merchandising Intern and Trainee program is one of the
leading training programs in the retail industry! Imagine learning from Planning
and Merchandising teams who drive the success behind a multi-million dollar
business. As a jcpenney Planning and Merchandising Trainee, you will work from
the Home Office in Plano, TX, (just 20 miles north of downtown Dallas), and
experience firsthand how buying, planning, and allocation integrate to produce
merchandise in more than 1,100 jcpenney stores and on jcp.com.

the United States. The purpose of the jcpenney Supply Chain Trainee program is
to develop and train the next generation of jcpenney’s Supply Chain leaders.
With a focus on innovation, efficiency and safety, the Supply Chain Trainee
program provides a unique opportunity for highly talented individuals to take
their leadership skills to the next level.
The Lowdown – Real Experience
This comprehensive 16-week program takes place in one of our Supply Chain
facilities and offers broad exposure to jcpenney, operational training, job
shadowing and much more! Trainees also gain the knowledge they need to lead an
hourly team and influence the entire jcpenney Supply Chain network to do the
fast-paced work required to run our Supply Chain facilities as efficiently,
safely and productively as possible.
