Nature of Assignments:
Each year ExxonMobil hires a number of outstanding undergraduates as Financial / Business / Operations Analysts. Outstanding performers are expected to become the future leaders of our financial organization. Early assignments provide exposure to global operations and a variety of businesses through activities such as:

• Analysis and reporting of financial and operating results
• Coordination of a business unit's financial and operating forecasts
• Designing and evaluating financial and operating control systems
• Improving financial and accounting processes
• Providing broad financial support to operating and financial organizations

Through these activities you will participate in business decisions, improve our processes, and work closely with both financial and business line operating management. Many of our initial positions are located at manufacturing sites or regional headquarters facilities. You can expect to rotate through 2 – 3 assignments in the first 4 to 5 years allowing for a variety of experiences to build skills and knowledge.

Demonstrated performance in initial assignments will lead to increasing responsibilities and management opportunities across the financial organizations (business analysis, financial reporting, accounting, financial controls) and through various business lines (Upstream, Downstream, Chemicals) via job rotation. The career path for candidates exhibiting exceptional performance will lead to domestic and international relocation opportunities and significant management responsibility.

• Bachelors/ Masters, with proficiency in relevant areas, such as financial analysis, accounting, corporate finance, international business

Nature of Intern Program:
ExxonMobil’s financial organization offers a number of Financial/Business Analysis internships for exceptional undergraduate candidates each year. The intern program is designed to provide an opportunity for the candidate to assess ExxonMobil as a future employer and ExxonMobil to assess candidate skills and long term career fit. Key objectives of the intern assignments are to test analytical skills along with leadership and teamwork attributes while providing exposure to our culture and global operations.

Our senior financial management directly oversees the internship program and has a high level of interaction with interns throughout the summer. Interns are assigned projects selected from an existing portfolio of work activities – each carrying an expectation of adding value to the organization. These activities are in a variety of areas such as business / operations analysis, financial reporting, and/or financial controls.

Intern assignments typically last about 3 months commencing in the May/June timeframe, however flexibility exists to meet some alternate schedules.

Full time employment offers are made at the conclusion of the internship program to those candidates who have demonstrated the skills and ability to achieve senior management levels.


Qualifications, skills, abilities and knowledge required:
• Candidates must be within one year of graduation from current degree program to be considered for an internship
• Bachelors / Masters candidate with proficiency in relevant areas, such as financial analysis, accounting, corporate finance, international business
• Proven record of initiative, leadership and academic achievement
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
