Analyst Intern
Egon Zehnder International (EZI) is
one of the world's largest retained executive search firms. Executive search is
a consulting service sought by clients in order to hire the most qualified and
appropriate leaders for senior level and ""C"" level teams. EZI specializes in
Executive Search, Board Consulting, Leadership Strategy Services, and
Restructuring.
Reporting to the Research Director, the Analyst Intern will partner with the
consultants of EZI, giving them ideas and insights into industry and market
trends as well as company history and performance. The Analyst Intern will be
required to think creatively and systematically while identifying companies and
industries for strategic projects that support client engagements. The Analyst
Intern will be fundamental to consultant teams by contributing to projects that
increase the firm's knowledge base and help to identify and resolve client
needs."
A key attribute of any member of the research team is strong communication and
influencing ability. S/he must be able to quickly and concisely convey his/her
decisions to consultants. S/he must be able to verbalize his/her strategy and
thought process behind identifying the targeted group for each assignment. The
Analyst Intern should also be prepared to work with and be mentored by other
researchers who may be part of the team assigned to a particular project,
familiarizing them with specific issues and approaches that will in the short
term directly lead to a project's success and in the long term support their
career development.
A candidate must also demonstrate strong prioritization and time-management
skills. Analyst Interns are typically required to execute multiple projects for
consultants and practice specialists in addition to completing the daily tasks
associated with the role. Suitable candidates for the Research Analyst role must
be able to manage competing deadlines.
The appropriate candidate will exhibit an enthusiasm for developing their
business exposure to many companies across varying industries. The candidate
should exhibit strong organizational skills as well as a proven background of
problem-solving ability.

•Analyzing and drawing conclusions after compiling numerous data points and
presenting those conclusions and data in a summarized and easy-to-grasp manner;
•Using many different sources to compile a brief summary of a subject, e.g. an
overview on a company's manufacturing process;
•Collaborating with colleagues and peers in order to gain subject knowledge
and real-world perspective;
•Strategic assessment of a problem and the steps necessary to provide a
solution;
•Entrepreneurial or energetic attitude toward learning and developing
knowledge in a given subject area
