About CTO Technology
In the fast-paced, dynamic world of financial markets, our technology and people

scalable, low-latency, high-frequency enterprise systems that support Citi and
our aggressive growth strategy. The Chief Technology Office (CTO) is Responsible
for Citi's overall Information Technology strategy. The mission of the CTO is to
optimize Citi's IT environment by driving standardization of the production
environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of systems supporting
global functions and introducing innovative technologies that provide new
business capabilities and reduce the technology total cost of ownership.
CTO Services
In supporting its mission, the Office of the CTO is responsible for Citi's
overall Information Technology strategy and provides the following shared
technology services: Global Functions, Business & Technical Architecture
Services, Infrastructure Engineering and Enterprise Architecture Governance.
More specifically, CTO’s Citi Architecture & Technology Engineering’s (CATE)
organization is the primary technology engineering arm for the enterprise.
Citi Architecture & Technology Engineering’s (CATE) mission is to improve IT
time-to-market and the effectiveness of Citi’s IT environment and processes. The
organization focuses on delivering world-class efficiencies across IT, including
Infrastructure Engineering and Architecture, Development Engineering &
Architecture, and Enterprise Architecture functions. Aligned to the One Citi
model, CATE’s goals include development of a comprehensive technology strategy,
maximizing the effectiveness of Citi’s engineering delivery model, improving the
governance and adoption of application development technologies & methodologies,
and maturing Citi’s application portfolio management practices.
Job Purpose
The Technology Analyst Program aims to deliver high-caliber professionals and
future leaders, through careful training and development to support regional
growth. One of the most exciting aspects of Citi is the diverse technologies
leveraged. We use numerous development languages (C++, Java, .Net), databases
(Oracle, Sybase, SQL) and hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Wintel/Unix). We develop
in-house products for unique business needs, leverage industry recognized
components (WebLogic, Sharepoint) and certify vendor products for Citi use. Over
1,500 vendor products are leveraged to provide the end-to-end technology
infrastructure that run and monitor business applications.
Technology Analyst Track: Platform Engineer- CTO CATE
Our Platform Engineers are expected to propose suitable solutions to a variety
of common engineering problems. Our engineers plan assembly and integration of
referenced technologies, set and oversee long-term roadmaps and work with
vendors to drive their product development to meet our need. With a focus on
innovation, there are opportunities in CATE across a number of end-user and
infrastructure-based platforms including Cloud Services, Big Data,
Infrastructure/Application Security, Networks, Storage & Virtualization and
Middleware/Software Development. Depending upon role, candidates should have a
fundamental understanding of related technologies, current programming and
familiarity with basic concepts of relational databases and a working knowledge
of either C++ or Java. Candidate should be able to demonstrate, e.g. a final
project, internship, etc. ability to design and build technology solutions to
meet business requirements.
Skills Developed as a Platforms Engineering Analyst
• Performs analysis and testing functions in the evaluation of technology
solutions and execution of test plans to ensure product meets requirements.
• Develops a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to
be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the
underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based.
• Utilizes good understanding of engineering procedures and concepts and adheres
to audit requirements and understands corporate compliance issues and
requirements.
• Applies good understanding of how the team interacts with others in
accomplishing the objectives of the area.

Job Purpose: EO&T Summer Analyst Program
The EO&T Summer Analyst Program aims to mold students into high caliber
professionals and future leaders through careful training and development.
Summer Analysts will be placed in one of the following areas: Global Technology
Operations or Global Data Center for the ten-week program. Throughout the
program, Summer Analysts will be responsible for working with their teams to
ensure that processes are implemented and utilized within Citi to facilitate
peak operational functionality and for participating in learning and development
activities designed for building the necessary professional skills for future
leadership positions.
Global Technology Operations (GTO): Analysts are positioned to deliver
exceptional value to technology infrastructure customers and the Citi franchise
in the areas of Security Operations, Network Management, Messaging, Audio &
Video Conferencing, Voice Operations, Customer Service and Client Infrastructure
Services.
Global Data Center (GDC): Analysts will have an array of opportunities within
this group which include: Planning & Analysis, Client Infrastructure Services,
Cloud and Mobile Computing, Information Security, Data Center Services and
Implementation, Distributed systems: UNIX, LINUX, Windows Network Integration,
Technology and Distribution Services, Re-engineering initiatives and Client
Management providing support for the Trading Floors: Investment Banking
&Corporate Infrastructure Services, Consumer and Global Wealth Management.
