Position Descriptions
The BB&T Leadership Development Program is a comprehensive, structured
training program that provides a strong foundation in the financial services
industry. The training focuses on these primary areas: Business Banking, Retail
Banking and several Corporate Concentrations.
The Business Banking Concentration
prepares Associates for positions such as a commercial portfolio manager and a
business development officer with training in understanding core principles of
financial analysis, selling financial services and business development
techniques. The Retail Banking Concentration prepares Associates to serve as a
Financial Center Leader. This concentration provides an intensive training
curriculum which includes evaluating and extending credit, managing a retail
loan portfolio, working with small business owners, managing employees, and
servicing client accounts. The Corporate Concentrations may include: Audit,
Capital Markets, Direct Retail Lending, Financial Management, Human Systems,
Loan Services, Marketing, Mortgage Lending Administration, Operations, Private
Financial Services, Sales Finance, Scott and Stringfellow (Retail Brokerage),
Special Assets, Specialized Lending and Support Services.
