Services (CaPaLs)

CaPaLs is an acronym for Carpenter, Paint and Lock Shops

A few members of the CaPaLs Dream Team!

 

The Carpenter Shop includes all carpentry, cabinetry, millwork, roofing, masonry, plastering, glass work, hard surface flooring, carpet, and other functions.

The Paint Shop renders general interior and exterior brush and spray painting as well as refinishing furniture. Sign painting and special signage needs

The Lock Shop is responsible for all locks and hardware.  Keys are supplied by the Lock Shop to the Access Control Group located in Hughes Trigg. keys are issued by Access Control who then assigns the key(s) to the user who is responsible for the return of keys once they are no longer required. Each department is responsible for the inventory of keys issued to its employees. At employment, new personnel will be provided the necessary key(s) for access of work areas at no charge to the department. Keys can be replaced or added by the user and/or the department as requested at the expense of the department. The locks for the University buildings are keyed to a master keying system. The Lock Shop is responsible for seeing that each lock is keyed differently, and is responsible for keeping a record of the keys which will operate each lock.
