More than 12,000 tons per hour of chilling capacity is available, but an average of only 5,000 tons is used through the hot summer months due to efficient operations.

The Paul B. Loyd, Jr. All-Sports Center, built in 2000, is located at the northwest corner of Gerald J. Ford Stadium. This facility houses the locker rooms, offices and training and sports medicine facilities for 17 SMU sports teams. It also hosts conference rooms, the SMU ticket office, the SMU Spirit Shop, Heritage Hall, Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center, Alumni Association, and the Hart e-Center.
