Home to the departments of Physics, Geology, and Geography. In 1950, when this 122,000 square foot Collegiate-Georgian style building was constructed, it was 50% larger than any other building on campus and was air-conditioned. The four-story building had classrooms, offices, two lecture rooms as amphitheaters, a map room, a research library, and separate labs for each discipline. Atop the building resides a 25-bell carillon from a foundry in Holland. This was gifted by the 1952 June graduating class. The largest of the 25 bells weighs four tons! In 1989, a $5.9 million renovation project modernized the structure.
