Only tuition charges, scholarships and grants for all 2008 terms and terms beginning the first three months of 2009 and adjustments to 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 or pre-billed from 2009 1098-T amounts posted January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008 are eligible items to report for the 2008 1098-T forms. You may use your personal financial records to assist you in determining eligibility for an education tax credit or deduction. Your personal financial records serve as the supporting documentation for your Federal income tax return.
1. To view form, print form or view detailed financial information; students need to log on to www.1098-T.com.
2. Students need to call 1-877-467-3821 (Service Provider - TCRS) for 1098-T information.
3. SMU does not give tax advice. The student will need to use their personal financial records to assist in determining eligibility for an education tax credit or deduction. The student will also need to have their own payment information to help determine eligibility.
