First Naipali New Testament

The Holy Bible, Containing the Old and New Testaments Translated from the Originals into the Nepala Language by the Serampore Missionaries. Serampore, India: Mission Press, 1821 .

William Carey (1761–1834) also supervised the translation of the New Testament into Naipali, a dialect of Pahari spoken in Nepal, Bhutan, and some parts of India and Burma. The Devanagari script recreated in this typeface is similar to Sanskrit. Although the title page describes this edition as a complete Bible, only the New Testament was printed.
