INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING BOA POINTS
Competition Points:
To submit points for a BOA competition in which you have participated, please complete the form below keeping in mind the relevant restrictions and rules. You may receive up to 10 points maximum for an on-campus competition, 15 points maximum for an off-campus competition with only one level, and 20 points maximum for a competition that has both regional and national levels. The competitions for which team members may receive up to 20 points for 2008 – 2009 are: National Moot Court, Thomas Tang, ABA Labor Mock Trial, ABA Negotiation, Jessup, ABA NAAC Moot Court, Duberstein, ABA Client Counseling, and AAJ Mock Trial. Please note that your team must actually MAKE the national level in order to be eligible for the 20 points.The exact items you may receive competition points for are on the Points Form (below).
Administrative Points:
Administrative points are divided into service (e.g. bailiffing, being a witness, etc.) and participation (e.g. watching an on-campus final round). You cannot earn administrative points for doing anything that is part of what you already must do for a project or competition (i.e. you cannot get points for being a witness for your own trial team). The amount of service points you may earned is not capped; the amount of participation points you may earn is capped at five over your entire law school career.The exact items you may receive administrative points for are on the Points Form (below).
