Olympic softball gold medalist Jennie Finch to speak at SMU Athletic Forum Luncheon
DALLAS, TEXAS – The Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum welcomes Jennie Finch to Dallas on Tuesday, September 25. The AT&T luncheon will take place at noon in the Khmer Pavilion of The Hilton Anatole at noon. Ms. Finch will be available to speak with the media at 10:45 a.m., please contact Jeff Lockhart for details. Jennie Finch is one of the most dominant and highly-decorated pitchers in women’s softball history. While playing for the University of Arizona, Finch amassed remarkable statistics, setting the NCAA record for consecutive wins with 60 and throwing seven no-hitters. The Wildcats reached the College World Series in each of Finch’s four seasons and won the title in 2001. Finch is a pivotal player on the U.S. National Team and was a key member of the 2004 Olympic gold medal winning team and 2003 gold medal winning Pan Am team. During the past three seasons, Finch has pitched for the Chicago Bandits of the National Pro Fastpitch league and was the league’s co-pitcher of the year in 2005.

Based in Dallas, the series features major figures from a variety of sports. The Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum includes four luncheons and the prestigious Doak Walker Award Presentation Banquet.
