NHL Legends Bobby and Brett Hull to speak at Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum Luncheon
DALLAS, TEXAS – The Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum welcomes Bobby and Brett Hull to Dallas on Wednesday, March 21. The Dallas Stars Luncheon will take place in the Khmer Pavilion of The Hilton Anatole at noon. Media availability begins at 10:45 a.m. in the Cooper Room of The Anatole. NHL All-Stars, Bobby and Brett Hull, are the only father and son in NHL history each to score more than 500 career goals, retiring as second and third leading all-time scorers respectively. Accomplished players with the NHL and WHA, they set records and captured numerous awards and trophies during their remarkable careers. Among their many achievements, Bobby and Brett played in a combined 19 NHL All-Star games, and were awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player; Bobby in 1965 and 1966, followed by Brett in 1991. After his retirement in 1983, Bobby Hull’s #9 jersey was retired by the Chicago Blackhawks and the Winnipeg Jets, and in 2006 Brett Hull’s #16 was retired by the St. Louis Blues. They remain the only father-son combo in any professional sport to have their respective numbers retired. ## Honoring the legends of sports for 18 years, the Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum celebrates outstanding success in athletics. Based in Dallas, the series features major figures from a variety of sports. The Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum includes four luncheons and the prestigious Doak Walker Award Presentation Banquet.
