SMU ATHLETIC FORUM ANNOUNCES SPONSORS
DALLAS, TEXAS - The SMU Athletic Forum is proud to announce sponsors for the 2003-04 season. AFLAC has signed on for a second year as a luncheon sponsor with The SMU Athletic Forum. The AFLAC Luncheon featuring Bill Walton, ABC and ESPN lead NBA analyst, three-time basketball All-American at UCLA, NBA Hall of Famer and one of the 50 greatest players in NBA History, will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2003. AFLAC is based in Georgia and insures more than 40 million people worldwide. They are the leading writer of voluntary insurance, offering policies to employees at more than 270,000 payroll accounts. At year-end 2002, the corporation's total assets were more than $45 billion, with annual revenues of more than $10.2 billion. Earlier this year, Fortune magazine named AFLAC to its list of "The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America" for the fifth year in a row. Other luncheon sponsors are Guaranty Bank, who is sponsoring the Nancy Lopez luncheon on November 18, 2003, and The Texas Rangers, who are sponsoring the Joe Morgan luncheon on April 29, 2004. PricewaterhouseCoopers will remain the naming sponsor of the Doak Walker Legends Award. Other sponsors include American Airlines, The Dallas Morning News, KTCK and NBC5. Entering its 15th year, the SMU Athletic Forum is widely regarded as America's preeminent sports luncheon series, producing four annual luncheons, as well as the Doak Walker Award Presentation Banquet. All luncheons and the Doak Walker Award Presentation Banquet are held at The Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, Texas. |
