DALLAS, TEXAS - Guaranty Bank will sponsor the final SMU Athletic Forum luncheon of the 2002-03 season when Sugar Ray Leonard, the first boxer to win world championships in five different weight classes, comes to town on Tuesday, April 8, 2003. Following the luncheon, Guaranty Bank has arranged a community outreach visit where Mr. Leonard will speak to a large group of students at Kimball High School in Dallas.

Guaranty Bank, based in Dallas, Texas, provides a wide variety of financial products and services with assets of approximately $18 billion. Guaranty Bank is one of the largest financial institutions owned by a Texas-based company. It operates more than 150 banking centers in Texas and California, serving over 300,000 families. The bank is active throughout the United States as a major real estate construction lender and as a provider of financing to middle-market businesses.

The SMU Athletic Forum annually presents the Doak Walker Award to the nation's best college running back, as well as the PricewaterhouseCoopers Doak Walker Legends Award. 2002 recipients were Larry Johnson of Penn State and former Houston Oilers Earl Campbell. The luncheon will be held in the Regency Ballroom of The Fairmont Hotel, 1717 N. Akard Street, Dallas, Texas.
