DETAILS:  With another gridiron season behind him, College and Pro Football Hall of Famer and NFL analyst Marcus Allen will spend a morning visiting patients at Children’s Medical Center.  Later in the day, Allen will receive the 2007 PricewaterhouseCoopers Doak Walker Legends Award presented by the Guaranty Bank SMU Athletic Forum.

                        Patients at Children’s look forward to their time in the playrooms, whether they’re hanging out with former NFL football greats or making arts and crafts with other patients.  Child life specialists supervise these daily opportunities for patients to get out of their hospital beds and remember what it’s like to be a kid. 

                        Children’s Medical Center Dallas was named one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country by Child Magazine.    

 Media are to check in at the main entrance and a member of the media relations team will escort them to the indoor location.
