Attention Class of 1961:

Are you interested in making your reunion during SMU’s Centennial your best one yet? Help us promote it by serving on your 2011 reunion committee. Committee membership responsibilities are listed below.

Committee Responsibilities

  • Attend reunion weekend during Commencement, May 13-14, 2011.

  • Submit photos from your days on the Hilltop and include a favorite memory to share on the reunion website.

  • Support the committee participation goal of 100% by making a gift in honor of your reunion.  A gift of any size to any SMU program made from June 1, 2010 – May 31, 2011 counts toward this goal.

  • Make every effort to attend three committee meetings to provide input for reunion weekend decisions, sign postcards, create nametags and learn more about committee membership responsibilities. Remember, out-of-town members are encouraged to join the committee! We’ll include you via conference call, mail and e-mail. 

  • Find “lost” classmates and share updated contact information with SMU. We especially need email addresses.

  • Personally choose 15 classmates to contact by mail, email, or phone and encourage them to attend the reunion & make a gift to SMU in honor of their reunion year.  This year’s class participation goal is 40%.

  • Update the SMU Reunion Programs team by phone, email or in person as you contact your classmates.

  • Have fun! This is a great opportunity to help plan a memorable reunion experience during SMU’s Centennial.
