This was truly a do-not-miss event.
On Saturday morning, May 12, the Class of 1962
was celebrated by the entire University community in the 97th annual
Commencement
taking place during SMU’s centennial celebration. Regalia and
commemorative medallions were provided for this 90-minute event in Moody
Coliseum. Some of us even wore our own special regalia. A shuttle transported
us and our guests from our dressing area to Moody. Guests were seated
on the floor of the Coliseum and watched us as we processed in. Our
own Bob Cecil addressed the class of 2012, and Dr. Condoleezza Rice gave a
very moving address.
