Distinguished Alumni Awards Celebration

  • Join us as we celebrate SMU's 2012 History Makers and recognize the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients Jeanne Tower Cox '78, James H. Holmes III, "Blackie" '57, '59, and Paul B. Loyd, Jr. '68, and Emerging Leader recipient Alonso N. Gutierrez '03. This memorable evening includes a seated dinner and award presentation, located on SMU's main quad. Reunion Weekend Check-in and Registration

  • For the classes of 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, and 2007
  • Check in for Reunion Weekend activities at Centennial Hall inside Hughes-Trigg Student Center to receive your reunion registration packet containing football and Saturday lunch tickets, Saturday night party nametags, Homecoming HotSpot cards and other important weekend information. Complimentary valet parking is available. Can't make it Friday?  You can check in on Saturday at Reunion Village on the Boulevard or your Saturday night class party.
4 – 5 p.m.

Campus Walking Tour

  • Stop by Centennial Hall inside Hughes-Trigg Student Center to join us for a guided walking tour to see how much has changed since your last trip to the Hilltop. Visit old landmarks and new additions.  Peer inside residence halls and hear about upcoming expansion plans. No time for a guided tour? Pick up a map with instructions on an interactive self-guided tour using your smart phone.
5 – 6 p.m.

Reunion Kickoff Celebration

  • For the classes of 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, and 2007
  • Join us for a lively come-and-go happy hour at Centennial Hall inside Hughes-Trigg Student Center to visit with classmates, enjoy music, door prizes and more. Complimentary valet parking is available. Don't forget to pick up your registration packet while you're here and bypass the lines at Saturday's events.

Black Alumni of SMU Happy Hour, Party, and Mini Reunion

Marilynne Robinson Lecture

  • Hosted by the SMU Department of English
  • Hughes Trigg Student Center Theatre
  • Marilynne Robinson is the author of the bestselling novels Home, Gilead (winner of the Pulitzer Prize), Housekeeping, and two books of nonfiction, Mother Country and The Death of Adam. She teaches at the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop.

Perkins School of Theology Homecoming Breakfast

  • Perkins will host a breakfast for Boulevard guests before the Homecoming Parade.

SMU Centennial Homecoming Parade

  • View parade floats and other entertainment as they march through campus in celebration of SMU Homecoming. Interested in joining the parade?  Contact the SMU Alumni Relations Office at 214-768-ALUM.
11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Meadows School of the Arts Homecoming Picnic

  • Owen Arts Center
  • Please join us to watch the parade; enjoy great food, beverages, music and dance; see old friends; and visit with the Meadows community. Children can enjoy face painting and the Meadows Museum will be open all day free of charge.

  SMU Dedman School of Law Tailgate Party
  • Northwest of the flagpole, in front of Umphrey Lee
  • Alumni should print or bring their tailgate e-mail for faster check-in. Please join us for a complimentary buffet. Tea, lemonade, sodas, and beer will be served.
Noon – 2 p.m.

Reunion Village on the Boulevard

  • For the classes of 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, and 2007
  • Enjoy a lunch buffet and drinks, kids’ activities and more on the Boulevard.

Red Zone on the Boulevard

  • Gather with alumni, family and friends at the Red Zone pre-game party on The Boulevard for Homecoming. Enjoy food, drinks and Mustang spirit under the tent, on the northeast corner of Binkley Avenue and Bishop Boulevard.
  • Pre-registration Tickets: $10 per person, free for children 6 and under ($15 on event day, pay at the tent, $10 for children 7-12)

2 p.m.

SMU vs. Memphis

  • Join us as the SMU Mustangs take on Conference USA-rival the Memphis Tigers. Purchase your tickets now! (Discount group tickets are available in sections 220, 221 and 222 for reunion-year alumni and their families. Purchase these tickets as part of the reunion weekend registration process).
