SMU Hispanic Alumni
The SMU Hispanic Alumni group keeps Latino alumni connected to SMU and each other through a variety of social, cultural, professional and academic programs. Opportunities include:
Stay connected to the SMU family by attending upcoming events, searching for friends in the directory and posting a class note to share your good news.
SMU Hispanic Alumni launched an initiative to raise funds for the Hispanic Alumni Scholarship in 2009. In the 2010-11 school year, with the help of over 200 donors, SMU Hispanic Alumni has provided over $21,000 in scholarships to this year’s recipients: Pablo De Santiago, Angela Martinez, Cassandra Mata, Jacqueline Negrete, and Karen Rico.
All money raised for the Hispanic Alumni Scholarship goes directly to the current SMU students selected. To receive this scholorship, a student must:
