Meet the Board

  BRAD ADAMS ’93
Member-at-large
Brad lives in Dallas and serves as General Counsel for The Brinkmann Corporation. In addition to his B.B.A. from SMU, he received a J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 1997. Brad has served on his 5, 10, and 15 year reunion committees as well as a board member of the Crain Leadership Endowment Fund. He is married to Jennifer Cannella Adams, and they have three children.
Chris Ainsworth CHRIS AINSWORTH ‘94

Chris lives in Corona Del Mar California and is married to Amy Hughes Ainsworth (’93, ’00). They have one child. Chris received his B.S. degree in economics in 1994 and was a member of the men’s tennis team from 1990-94. He currently is the Chief Operating Officer at Mont Pelerin Capital, LLC in Newport Beach. Chris and his wife Amy are currently the Orange County Chapter Presidents’.

Vincent is the incoming chair of the African American Alumni Associates. Vincent lives in Fort Worth and works for American Airlines. He received an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M Commerce and a MLA from SMU in 2006.

John is married to Kathaleen Bauer, and they have a daughter. An honorary SMU Letterman, John is an attorney, and while he loves art and is passionate about SMU and fishing, his love of friends and family is always at the center of his life.

  SHONN BROWN ’95 BA, ’98 JD

Shonn lives in Dallas and is a partner at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP. Shonn has served on her class reunion committee and law school reunion committee, as well as a member of the African American Alumni Associates. She is married to Clarence Brown and they have three children. In addition, Shonn is actively involved in Junior League of Dallas, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, and Dallas Museum of Arts.
Robert Cabes ROBERT CABES ’91, BBA Cox

Robert lives in Houston Texas and is married to Jane Shickich Cabes. They have three young children. Robert received a BBA in 1991 and was involved with Sigma Chi and Student Senate while attending SMU. After graduating, Robert was an investment banker at Credit Suisse, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Prudential Securities where he was engaged in debt and equity securities underwriting and merger and acquisition assignments for energy companies. He is currently a Partner of Avista Capital Partners, a private equity firm and is a CFA charter-holder. Robert currently serves as a Director for several energy funds.
Stephen Corley STEPHEN CORLEY ’90, BBA Cox

Stephen is married to Michele Corley and lives in Napa Valley, California. At SMU, Stephen was (and continues to be) active with Sigma Chi. He was also involved with IFC and Alpha Beta Psi. Stephen participated in the SMU-at-Oxford program. His brother Michael Corley graduated SMU in 1988, also from Cox School of Business. Along with his two brothers and father, he runs the Monticello Vineyards and winery in Napa Valley, founded by his father in 1970. Stephen also serves as Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Napa Valley Vintners, Auction Napa Valley, and the Napa Valley Community Health Center.
Kim Hanrahan KIM HANRAHAN ’92, BA Meadows

Kim lives in Dallas and is married to Garrett Hanrahan (’93) and they have two children. While at SMU, Kim held leadership positions in Student Foundation and Delta Gamma. After graduation, Kim worked for the Hyatt Regency Dallas and then The Westin Galleria Dallas, handling conventions, weddings and other large social events for almost 10 years. Since 2002, she has been an active member of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center League, helping to raise awareness and funds for the treatment of sexually abused children in Dallas County. Kim also serves SMU as a member of the Advisory Council for the Crain Leadership Endowment Fund. Kim truly enjoys her continued relationship with the students, staff and friends from SMU. She is very excited about serving SMU as a member of the SMU Alumni Board!
Harriet Holleman HARRIET HOLLEMAN ’63

Harriet lives in Dallas and is a freelance photographer. Her involvement in the Dallas community includes St Michaels and All Angels Church, Meals on Wheels, and the Dallas Woman’s Club. Her SMU involvement includes the Archives of Women of the Southwest Advisory Board at the DeGolyer Library, and co-chair for her 45-year reunion. Harriet has two children, one of which graduated from SMU in 1998.

Ruth is married to Roman Kupchynsky, II ‘80. They have two sons. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and loves returning to SMU for her reunions. She and her husband are still best friends with their classmates.
Doug Linneman DOUG LINNEMAN ’99, MBA

Doug lives in Atlanta Georgia and is married to Jennifer Wynn Linneman. Together they have one son, Carpenter. Doug received his MBA in 1999 and was chosen by his classmates to receive the Class of 1999 Leadership Award and was elected to the positions of VP of Graduate Affairs on the Student Advisory Board and Co-Chairman of PR for the Business Leadership Center Advisory Council. Currently he is the President of MacRae Development, a real estate development organization that builds affordable housing for low-income families in need. Doug has played a key role in the Atlanta Alumni Chapter by planning events and over all acts as a sounding board for the chapter.
Ken Malcolmson KEN MALCOLMSON ’74, BA Dedman

Ken has two sons. He is Market CEO at Humana, Inc. The best part of being an SMU alum for Ken is the opportunity to network with a broad cross-section of inter-generational alums. Ken currently sits on the Cox Executive Board and this is his third term on the Alumni Board.
Tamara Marinkovic TAMARA MARINKOVIC ’91, ‘94 JD

Tamara is an attorney for Jones Day. She was involved in many activities on campus both as an undergraduate and law school student, including Program Council, Women’s Symposium, Delta Delta Delta sorority, and the SMU Law Review Association. She also had the privilege to serve as the Student Trustee to the SMU Board of Trustees and President of the Panhellenic Association. As an alumna, she believes in the importance of higher education as embodied by the University and the leadership opportunities that SMU provides to its students.

Robert ‘Bob’ Massad ’68 lives in Dallas and is married to Gail Massad (’68). Bob owned his own real estate company and was president of the Dallas Division of North American Title Company. His SMU involvement includes being a member of the Mustang Club and co-chair of his 40-year reunion. He and Gail have two children.

Susie lives in Fredericksburg Texas and is a Director for BeautiControl Inc. Susie has been active in many class reunions. She also is active in her church and volunteers at the Fredericksburg High School. She has three children, two of whom are SMU grads (`07 & `09) and one who is a currently a student (`12).
Bobby Mills BOBBY MILLS ’57

Bobby lives in Dallas and is married to Elizabeth Mills ’59. Bob is a retired businessman and is currently the President of the North Dallas Kiwanis Club and member of the Mission Funding Committee Baptist General Convention of Texas. His SMU involvement includes the Mustang Club and the Letterman’s Club. Bob and Elizabeth have two children, both are SMU alums.

Jamie is married to McDonald Moore ‘86. They have two children. Living in Dallas, Jamie enjoys the opportunity to continue building friendships and working with other SMU alumni on a daily basis – friendships that are enriched all the more as their children grow up together. Jamie was a member of Pi Beta Phi.

Dennis is married to Penny Murphree ‘70. They have two children. He is in Venture Capital; Murphree Venture Partners. Dennis was a varsity cheerleader when SMU won the SWC in football, basketball and swimming. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and one of his fraternity brothers wrote the original script to ‚Animal House?.
CONNIE O’NEILL ’77

Connie is married to Chris O’Neill ’75 and they have four children. Connie was a member of Chi Omega at SMU. This is Connie’s second term on the alumni board and she has also served on the Mustang Club board and the Annual Fund board. She is currently involved in leadership positions at the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Children’s Medical Center Foundation.
MARK ROBERTSON ’85

Mark is an attorney for Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. Mark is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and was ‚mysteriously? linked to the stealing of Kip’s Big Boy during his time as a Pike at SMU. Mark was also in the band while at SMU, highlights of which were performing at the football games played in Japan and Hawaii.

Scott E. Rozzell ’71 lives in Houston and is Executive Vice President & General Counsel of CenterPoint Energy. In addition to his B.A. from SMU, he received a J.D. from the University of Texas School Of Law in 1975. Scott is a former president of the Houston Bar Association, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a current Trustee and Sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He is married to the former Karen Brandstrader (JD SMU ’82) and has two grown daughters, Stacey Murphree (BBA SMU ’99), a teacher, and Kimberly McVey (BA & BBA SMU ’02), a lawyer. Both are married to SMU alumni.
Lisa Sabin LISA SABIN ’78, BBA Cox

Lisa lives in Dallas and has three grown daughters, one of which is a fourth generation SMU alum. Lisa was the giving chair for her 20th and 25th reunions and will be serving on the committee for her 30th reunion this fall. In 2007, Lisa also was chair of the Distinguished Alumni Awards dinner. Lisa is also active with the Family Place in Dallas.

Jesusita lives in Dallas and is with the Women’s Museum. She is the incoming chair of the Hispanic Alumni Associates and also is on the Development Committee of the Young Alumni Board. In her spare time she volunteers as a mentor at Booker T. Washington School.

David Schmidt ’79 lives in Dallas and is currently the President of Schmidt & Stacey Consulting Engineers. David is very active in the community. For nine years he was a board member of the Children’s Cancer Fund and served as chair in 2004. He also has been active in development efforts for the YMCA and FCA, as well as a visible member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas.

Debbie ’70 lives in Dallas and is married to Richard Sirchio ’69. Debbie is active in the Dallas Women’s Club, Gamma Phi House Corporation of Texas, Dallas Symphony Ball, and Ursuline Academy. Debbie and Richard have a daughter who graduated from SMU in 2005.

Laura Staub Pusateri ’01 lives in Atlanta Georgia and is married to Vince Pusateri. Laura is currently with Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to her BA degree from Meadows she received a MEd from University of Georgia in 2005. Laura is the incoming chair on the Young Alumni Board.

Jeff is married to Suzi Thrall ’72 and has two children. Jeff met Suzi while at SMU and also played on the golf team. He enjoys coming to Dallas often for alumni events, reconnecting with friends and visiting his son.
