Congratulations to LEC tutor Michael Lundie, who has been recognized for his work in SMU's philosophy department.

Michael is the recipient of The Hausman Award for Excellence in the History of Western Philosophy. This award is granted annually to students who produce excellent scholarship and contribute effectively to in-class lecture discussions about topics relevant to topics in the History of Western Philosophy.

Michael has also been recognized with The Hoskins Essay Award. This award is granted annually to students who write a philosophy paper meriting special distinction, considered the best researched, written, and argued philosophy paper of the year, as decided by a committee of SMU's philosophy faculty members
