Resources for Students with LD & ADHD
On-Campus:
- Disability accommodations are not handled through the A-LEC or LeAD. For accommodations on campus, such as extended time for tests, students with disabilities must contact Rebecca Marin, Director of Services for Students with Disabilities.
- Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) provides SMU students with individual personal counseling, LD/ADHD testing (fee), and psychiatric services such as medication management.
Off-Campus:
- For referrals to off-campus psychologists/psychiatrists for testing and/or medication management, please contact CAPS at 214.768.2277. Alexa Taylor (214.768.1918) and Glenn Pfenninger (214.768.4773), the A-LEC's Learning and Attention Disorders Counselors, have a limited list of referrals as well.
