Ginger Oravsky was born and raised in East Texas.  She attended Lindale High School and went on to graduate from Baylor University in December 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  After joining SMU, Ginger completed a Master of Liberal Arts degree with concentration in Humanities.  She has been with the Undergraduate Admission office since 2000.  Coming from a small town, Dallas and its great opportunities have not gone unnoticed to her.  Ginger takes pleasure in helping incoming students make the most of the many available opportunities and making the transition from other colleges to SMU an enjoyable one.

 College Search Tip: 

For transfer students, make sure you have completed at least College Algebra level math or a high school sequence of Algebra I, Algebra II, and Plane Geometry in the last three years before your enrollment at SMU.  Also, search the SMU website for information and course requirements of your anticipated major as soon as you begin considering SMU.  Use the information wisely in planning what courses to take at your current institution long before you transfer to save time and money.
