About SMMUG
The purpose of SMMUG is to increase awareness of what students, professors, and staff can do with technology to achieve more technologically integrated experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. Since Apple is very dedicated to improved communication, collaboration, teaching and learning, SMMUG focuses on Apple-based technologies. The SMMUG attempts to achieve this goal in many different ways, including but not limited to:
- Student user support through special events utilizing Apple applications
- Training sessions and workshops for students, faculty, and staff
- Demonstration tables and events
- Increasing students organizations abilities to play a major part in community projects by serving as technology mentors
- Recognition of outstanding uses of technology
Membership to SMMUG will consists of students, faculty, and staff. Membership is limited to current undergraduate and graduate students of SMU and faculty and staff who are under contract for the current year.

Steve Jobs (1955–2011)
