OREM 4395 Senior Design is the capstone course for the Bachelor of Science with a major in Management Science program from the Operations Research and Engineering Management department (formerly EMIS department) in the Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering at Southern Methodist University. Instituted in the early 1980s, the course takes Management Science from the classroom into the Dallas community and beyond by sending student consultant teams to work on real problems of industry and government.

This site documents many of these projects, which apply Management Science tools, techniques, and know-how to problems of a wide range of problems and organizations. Each project is summarized, categorized by application area and methodology used, and often linked to the students’ presentation and final report.

Further information about the course is available from the Call for Projects page, maintained by Prof. Richard Barr, the creator and administrator of this site.
